Sandor "Sean" Giebitz
Rock/Metal Bass Guitar
Sandor was born in El Paso, TX, where he got his musical start on the piano at age 4. After a brief experience at his Middle School orchestra as a violinist, He relocated with his family in Austin, TX, where he fell in love with the guitar.
After several productive years playing in bands in Austin, he has relocated to Sonoma, where he is fronting two parallel music projects.
Sandor has created a unique metal bass guitar curriculum that will take you step-by-step from zero to bass hero in seven consecutive learning levels.
Aida de Arteaga
Upright Bass and Bass Guitar
Aida was a recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts/NEA in Jazz and studied in NYC under Rufus Reid. She holds a degree in Expressive Arts from Sonoma State University, studied with Barry Green and the International Society of Bassist, in the Julliard Bassist program under Gary Kan, as well as with Mel Graves from Sonoma State University. Aida has played with the Napa Valley Symphony for twenty years to date as well as being the Arts Administrator for the California Department of Corrections, where she has developed a fine arts program for San Quentin State Prison; supervising and developing a program with outside visiting artists. For this endeavor she received a California Arts Grant to support the formation of a Big Band at San Quentin. She has taught privately in the Sonoma area and at Stanford University’s Jazz program.
